Overview
Drift is a travel log built around a simple idea: the record of where you have been is worth keeping, and it belongs to you. You log a place, attach it to a trip and a city, and the app assembles the rest — a passport of countries visited, a world map filling in over time, and city timelines that read like an itinerary you did not have to write.
Places are logged deliberately rather than harvested. Drift does not request a location permission and does no background tracking, because a travel journal built on surveillance is a different product with a different set of risks.
Everything is stored locally on the device. A Pro tier gates the more elaborate views behind a paywall; the entitlement is currently a local flag, structured so that wiring a real purchase provider later means replacing one function body rather than reworking the app.
